Craig Bartholomew and Michael Goheen published the most recent edition of The True Story of the Whole World in 2009. The purpose of this book is “to tell the biblical story of redemption as a unified, coherent narrative of God’s ongoing redemptive work in the world.” () The True Story of the Whole World explains the Bible in three parts: the Old Testament, the New Testament, and an Interlude in the middle. Following each act is a section that applies the topics to modern day life and a list of questions to engage the reader. The first section, which explains the Old Testament, is divided into three acts: creation, the fall of man, and the beginning of redemption.
