The Unsolved Murder of William Desmond Taylor The Hollywood star of the early 1900’s, William Desmond Taylor, was suddenly brutally murdered and to this day, we still do not truly know who killed the man. There are many conspiracy theories that give strong evidence that could very well solve this mystery. Some people have even claimed to the police that they were the killer, but there was not enough evidence to actually prove them as guilty. As of right now, there is just enough evidence to prove that the murder of this Hollywood star was Taylor’s personal valet, Edward Sands! The murder of William Desmond Taylor was said to occur around the time frame of around 7:50 to 7:55. Police have investigated and said that Sands was seen near the scene of the crime at around the time that it happened. There is proof that Sands was there on the day of the crime and with every other little thing he has done to Taylor, it almost seems blatantly obvious that Sands was the murder. One of the guns that Taylor owned was a German Luegar revolver. He did not bring this gun back from France but he did buy it in New York. When they were trying to make the shoulder piece fit the revolver, others were having a tough time but when he turned to Sands, he did it with ease and it seemed like he was very knowledgeable on that subject. Although this might not seem to do anything with the killing, it could actually have been the gun that killed Taylor. It was reported that Taylor never brought the gun back from France but this could have possibly been something else that Edward Sands stole from him because he was knowledgeable with it. If Sands knew what the gun was capable of and he knew exactly how to use it, he could have easily stolen it and used it to kill Taylor. The question is, is there anything that Sands did not
