The author’s tone in this quote is violent and bitter. Eric saying that he “hated almost everyone “, would support the reader’s thinking towards what kind of person Eric is, and what Eric is thinking. Eric’s use of language almost immediately gives the reader a hint of what he is capable of, not in the sense that he would literally “rip is head off and eat it” but in the sense that he is capable of doing bad things. Given the fact that people throughout the United States have already heard of the mass shooting in Columbine, the reader would promptly identify Eric as the killer and they would be right. The author’s purpose could be to keep the reader thinking: who is the killer? , but also help the reader predict how will the killer’s next plans
The Boston massacre Although many historian believe the the Boston Massacre was a murder it is clear that it is an act of self-defense. First, the situation was self-defense because Preston was trying to get the sentry to safety when they got surrounded by armed and drunken citizens. The soldiers were defending themselves because they were unable to escape with their backs against the custom house and faced an angry mob. Secondly, the solders’ fire was eight to six seconds between them. this shows that the solders fired on there own accord because usually they all fire at the same time when following orders.

The internet has been used to post all the plans of people. Many people post what they are doing or what they are going to do. People in some occasions post to hurt or harm other people. The video of the Virginia shootings posted by Bryce Williams, whose real name is Vester Lee Flanagan and who is thought to be the gunman who killed two of his former co-workers at the television station WDBJ (Manjoo) was publish and it took the police a long time to find him. The government can stop acts of violence and crime if they see everything that happens on the internet and social media.
Along the Marias River on January 23, 1870, the Baker Massacre stirred Heavy Runner’s camp. The US Army purged into an innocent Blackfeet camp while most of their warriors were out hunting. The US army shot and murdered the Blackfeet relentlessly. But going back to what started it,it was 1869 when Owl Child murdered white trader, Malcolm Clarke. The government then gives orders to prepare for an attack.
The shooter was eventually addressed as Seung-Hui Cho. Cho originated from Seoul, South Korea, where his father, mother and sister lived until he was eight years old. Cho’s family then moved from South Korea to Centreville Virginia in hopes that a new environment would help Cho open up, because he always seemed to be shy, even as a child (Worth 20). Cho was also bullied as a child by his classmates and the kids in his youth group (Thomas 25).
Psychology Three questions phycologist would ask about Eric Harris & Dylan Klebold to understand the reason for committing the massacre is firstly, “what was the mental state of them before the crime?” secondly “Did they have an abusive childhood(trauma/abuse)?” thirdly “did they have mental disorders? (chemical imbalance in the brain affecting behaviour?”. Continuing a phycologist would ask these questions because, phycology is the study of the individuals mind and mental state knowing their mental state and childhood allows the psychologist to seek a greater understanding of their individual experiences, emotions, thinking behaviour, learning and development.
It is on December 6, 1989 that Marc Lepine committed an horrible attack. He entered the Polytechnique University in Montreal with the minding to kill as many women as possible. The motivations for a mass murderer can range from revenge to hatred and from loyalty to greed; the victims can be selected individually, as member of a particular category or group or, least often, on a purely random basis (Hickey,2003,p.297). In the case of Lepine, he was targeting women, which for him, were studying in a field meant for men, engineering. In total, he killed 14 women and committed suicide on this date.
Throughout history literary texts have been a vehicle for social commentary and political ideas. Both Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and Michael Moore’s political documentary “Bowling for Columbine” exemplify this notion, utilising their own political perspectives to create unique and evocative interpretations of their time’s political situation. Miller presents “The Crucible” as an allegorical piece that is a commentary of the mass hysteria and paranoia that engulfed American society surrounding the McCarthy era. In “Bowling for Columbine” Moore creates a comedic, yet chilling documentary attempting to unveil the causes for the Columbine High School massacre and violence more generally in America. Both composers cleverly criticique the political circumstances of their time through a range of literary techniques and themes.

Mental illness significantly affects many around the world. In fact, about four-hundred and fifty million people worldwide suffer from one or more of the different known mental illnesses. That is one in every four people. Severe mental health issues such as severe anxiety disorder, antisocial personality disorder, schizophrenia, or sensory perception disorder are illnesses which are common among the people responsible for the numerous mass shootings in America. Many believe the possession of firearms in the hands of the mentally ill are the real cause of mass shootings.
A College Nightmare On the day of May 4, 1970, college students and people across America watched in astonishment as the world they were living in was crumbling to the core. The reasoning behind American’s crumbling was because of the turning against each other as citizens and the government. America was turning against each other and their country because of the involvement in the Vietnam War. On this specific day in history, college students had lost their lives because they were fighting for something they strongly believed in.
The Virginia Tech shooting was a massacre that occurred on April 16,2007 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, It resulted in the death of 32 people and wounded 17 people. It was the deadliest shooting that occurred in U.S history and the deadliest by a single gunman. As a kid I remember seeing the tragedy on the news for weeks. This shooting was what reignited the debate over gun control for years to come. Many lawmakers bring up the Virginia Tech shooting to further advance their policies to promote stricter gun control.
Argumentative Essay In the USA, there is an overwhelming number of children are dying every day, influencing a great deal of money that is spent, while the topic of gun control is discussed as a solution for these events. There is a big talk about deciding if creating more gun control laws is the right decision to prevent more events of gun violence. Everyone knows that gun control laws are not a realistic solution because guns don't kill people. Gun control is not the answer to our nation's number of violent shootings; because most of these shootings happen as a result of mental health struggles and also because there is an overwhelming lack of early crisis intervention screening programs as well as a need for better education for caregivers
