Nazi War Tactics World War II was one of the biggest and deadliest wars ever and had a lot of crazy things happen but one thing that stuck out for me was the Nazis war tactics. Blitzkrieg is a war tactic for the Nazis that is designed to make disorganization with other enemies through mobile forces and locally concentrated firepower. Blitzkrieg required of concentration. Blitzkrieg and german air power from resupplying with troops and ammunition. Blitzkrieg also used heavy powered tanks, planes, artillery etc.
One of the first times that I volunteered was for a summer camp at my church. At this camp, I was assigned to the craft station. Every morning we were in charge of gathering the materials to make the craft kit’s needed for that day 's crafts, and
When I was a freshman, I went to was an event called Winter Rage at Clackamas High School. It was a day where the school collected donations of food, clothes, toys, and basic items for families in need around the community. The day of the event required hours of set-up and packaging. When families arrived, it was very heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces as they received enough food and warm clothes for the winter season. I was in charge of handing out toys and Christmas gifts to children and families.
Kids are important because they grow up to be adults with power. They need to be taught how to make well-informed choices. We can teach them these things in children 's church. Teaching k-5th allowed me to help others grow, and to give back some of the lessons I was taught. My church also let me lead them in worship, allowing people feel closest to God during worship.
This experience has been different from my job experience since I have learned how to follow directions from the supervisor while helping the students with various activities. Many of the activities included homeworks, art, computers, and games. Another community service that has build up on my experience has been the North Salinas High School Migrant Program. Being a volunteer in the migrant program gave me a closer experience on working with parents and children from a migrant
“Never in the field of human conflict has so much owed by so many to so few” (Churchill). Beginning with the Invasion of Poland World War Two was a war started by Adolf Hitler himself and later World War Two ended on D-Day. World War Two was just about to start with a new leader in power. Hitler as a soldier in World War One was ranked as a Lance Corporal in the Bavarian army, as a soldier Hitler had almost died. In 1917 Hitler was part of the Battle of Cambrai.
Volunteering time at church and school have become a major part of what I do. The youth group I belong to at St. Thomas UCC collects items and put together hygiene bags for the YWCA. For school, I often volunteer to help with the bands, working in the kitchen for Indoor Drumline shows and helping to set up the Craft Show. I also assist my classmates if they request it. If a student is absent, I will take responsibility to send them notes they may have missed in class, and also what they homework is so they can attempt to do it.
It was to stand in front of a store and get donations for an organization for the bombing. There were many different people that donated, but they all had something in common. They were kind. I remember a few particular people that donated. There was a child who had asked his parents for money, and then dropped it in to the box.
The 7th of February was a rather calm and not so busy day for FVL Truppenführer Preston Connelly and Truppenführerin Gudruna Hurley, compared to Lucas Fields, Adelburger Walther Schäffer and the other FVL leaders. Having been to the RGA repository known as Schloß Schwarzenstein, the two scouts decided that it was time for them to figure out what their respective Foreign Volunteer Legions’ specialties would be. They discussed about it inside their personal quarters within Underworld, making note of everything they said to each other in the process. “Gudruna,” Connelly said to her, “I know that you are a girl scout, and I a boy scout, but something tells me that having ourselves try and learn something new to contribute to the RGA war effort, would not be as conducive as making good use of our expertise that they already have mastered.”
While going through nursing school at Mount Mercy I volunteered at several places. During my sophomore year at Mount Mercy I decided to volunteer at Tanager Place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tanager Place provides a place for children to stay while they attend a variety of behavioral health programs that help them manage their mental health illness. Every week I would go to Tanager and help assist the leaders with the after school programs where we would create activities that the children could learn certain skills from. One day we played dodgeball and the children ended up realizing that teamwork is crucial and that everyone should be nice to one another because if they didn’t throw the ball to their teammates who were out they would be the only one left and their team would lose.
My favorite part of being on staff had to be Cub Scout week. I loved teaching these boys a new thing and watching their eyes light up. I knew that if I could get them excited about something then they would begin to expand and learn on their own. This was proven this last year when I was on Volunteer Staff at camp and boys who were in my first year of staff are thriving and active Boy Scouts. They have continue to learn and grow
My mom and my aunt had a plan that we would all take on different tasks of fixing the thanksgiving meal. It would be a lot of food, but it would also take a lot of work and patience. We split the work up into three different parts desert, side dishes, and turkey, and ham. We all picked which one we wanted to take the job of cooking. I picked desserts my aunt picked side dishes my mom picked turkey and ham.
In the first year, I was a part of a pioneering youth development team in Americorps NCCC Southwest Region. I worked with K-12 students in title one schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, local non-profit organizations, The Red Cross and The Salvation Army. I spent my second year working with underserved youth as a volunteer coordinator for Reading Partners in DC. I learned about the struggles that the students I worked with dealt with every day. I was also able to interact with parents and provide resources for education, housing, food, and nutrition.
We would prepare and serve food for homeless people. This was an impactful and eye opening experience for me. The people we served were so grateful and even though they did not have much, they had their faith. This experience ties into Psalm 23 because it exemplifies the message that the Lord loves and cares for all his people; followers of Christ should help other followers. I think God means for us all to help one another so we can all progress and become closer to Him.
I completed 60 hours of observation/volunteering in the public-school system. 40 of the 60 hours were completed at Preston High School in Preston County. 20 of those hours were in a history classroom and the other 20 were in a special education classroom. The final 20 hours completed at a daycare/preschool where I now work called Play Works in Monongalia County. It was very interesting to go to each setting because they were all so different and had a lot of diversity.
