Carol from The Walking Dead show once said “ You kill or you die, or you die and you kill.” In their situation this is completely true. If they don’t kill then whatever it is will kill them, whether is a human, zombie, or animal. No matter what happens to you, you kill anyways. Might as well be when you’re alive. The Walking Dead is a TV show, and a comic book. The show is in the future when the zombie outbreak occurs. Rick Grimes tries to find his family, and ends up finding his family and a small group. Rick quickly becomes the leader and must keep this whole group safe from the horrors that live in the new world. For example the comic book was written by one guy instead of multiple. Robert Kirkman wrote the comic books. “Did you have the master plan from the beginning or have you been developing it as you go? Robert Kirkman replied back “As far as a master plan goes-- I don’t have one.” (The Walking Dead Wikia). It’s good that he doesn’t have a plan because if he wants to change one thing then he won’t have to change the whole plan. Frank Darabont is the creator of the show. The characters thought that Terminus was a safe sanctuary. It was not one. We spent the whole season thinking when are they going to get into Terminus. When they finally got there, it was a place where a bunch of cannibals lived. In the comics they didn’t even have Terminus. Not only are the settings different from the comics, but the events can differ too. For example the show has many of the same events, but they twist them so they are different. The comic book has many major deaths, characters, and events that the show has, but the show changes them so they are different. (The Walking Dead (TV series)) (The Walking Dead (Comic Book)) (“The Walking Dead”imdb.com). For example, one major character from the show, Diana, was the person who ran the whole town. In the comic books it wasn’t Diana who ran the town. It wasn’t even a women. His name was Douglas. He ran the town until Rick and his group came and, just like Diana, he gave the town to Rick to protect. The show and the comic are both very good, but they are different in many ways. They
