The Walking Dead Negan Character Analysis

There are hundreds of villains in movies, plays, books, and TV shows. Out of all of the villains, Negan from AMC's The Walking Dead is my favorite. He was mentioned in the entirety of season 6. He was introduced in the season 6 finale, titled 'Last Day on Earth.' The fact that there was so much anticipation leading to the character's introduction made viewers anxious to find out if one of the Atlanta 5 will be no longer. I love Negan because his back story has yet to be revealed and we know nothing about him or whether or not he's his own boss.

The Walking Dead takes place in Apocalyptic America. The main character, Rick, and his son, Carl, navigate the state of Georgia picking up and killing off people for their group of survivors. Throughout the most recent season, season 6, a man named Negan is constantly mentioned. Rick and his group come across a group of survivors, named 'the saviors', who give them a tough time. So Rick, Carl and the others attempt to take out Negan before they themselves are killed. It doesn't go so well and the entire group is captured. The guys who work for Negan line up the survivors and the boss comes out of a trailer in the middle of a clearing in the woods. He come out with a bat over his shoulder which he calls 'Lucille". One of eleven people is going to die. The 'Atlanta 5' are the only remaining survivors from season 1 when they met in Atlanta, Georgia. Rick Grimes, Carl Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Maggie Green, and Glenn Rhee are the final 5 survivors of Atlanta. The others are Abraham, Eugene, Sasha, Rosita, Aaron and Michonne. All these characters are so dearly loved by viewers that whoever dies is going to cause an uproar. The fact that Jeffery Dean Morgan is also known for playing John WInchester in Supernatural, and other roles in CBS' The Good Wife, is bringing in viewers from those shows making Negan TV's number 1
