The way of Rumor by Robert Knapp Robert Knapp psychologist during the world war II he attempts to classify and define the rumors by studying them, monitor people behaviors he published his book about rumor in 1944 it was nearly seventy years ago, when Knapp published his book and his research about rumor still has strong influence upon rumors. He starts classify the rumors based on the types that drive rumors and make them happen and he reach, three things that drive them and they are wish fear and hostility. His book is about why the rumors start to exists and what the purpose that serves the rumors. He did start very well that it makes easier to the reader to understand all the information he provides. He did a good job by observing the human behaviors and he start giving examples “Japanese do not have oil to last for six months”. When that rumor started and it was not true or based on true verifications. Rumors are based on fair wish or hostility for example at the World War II when “Wall street rumor comes up that they are betting 10-1 that the war will end by autumn”. I agree by those three things fair, wish and hostility the rumors start and it’s based on human nature to believe without facts. Knapp was good about explaining the rumors and how they get created and how they come to life and he gave full satisfied definitions about all the three kind of rumors and he explain each one of them and how each one come to life, but he was short in examples that he needed more examples that based on observing or monitoring people to get the reader for the article get more confident from all the information’s that Knapp brought to light and support them and get to know it all very well, even by the category and how they actually started and what’s the motive to each rumor and what purpose the rumor is
