Tim Gaskill 10/29/15 English 4 The Westing Game By Ellen Raskin was published in 1978. It became a movie in 1997 called Get A Clue. Barney Northrup a real estate agent selects 16 people (heirs) who are chosen to live in the Sunset Towers on the shore of Lake Michigan, they came here to hear the will of millionaire, Samuel Westing. The will is a puzzle making 16 people in to 8 pairs, giving each different clues, challenging them to solve who murdered Same Westing. Each heir was given $10,000 to solve the puzzle. Whoever solved the mystery got Sam Westing's 200 million and his company, Westing Paper Products. The narrator reveals that one tenant steals, one sets off bombs, and one isn't even supposed to be there in the first place. The heirs were Judge JJ Ford, Jake Wexler, Flora Baumbach, Tabitha-Ruth 'Turtle' Wexler, Dr. Denton Deere, Grace Wexler, James Shin Hoo, Berthe Erica Crow, Otis Amber, Angela Wexler, Alexander "Sandy" McSouthers, Sydelle Pulaski, and Theo Theodorakis. Some heirs meet in the coffee shop to go over their clues, and Sydelle gets her copy of the will back, a bomb goes off, no one got hurt, but they did get scared. Over the phone, the judge hires a private investigator whose voice sounds familiar. All the heirs are eating dinner in the Chinese restaurant on the fifth floor when a 2nd bomb goes off. This time Sydelle's hurt and was rushed to the hospital. Angela visits her there and wonders about what she's doing, and then discovers someone has anonymously given her 2 more clues. Flora Baumbach and Turtle worry about the stock market, while the judge realizes Mrs.
