Stephen was a normal boy whose world got flipped upside down. He was happy living with his mom and dad in a nice town in Colorado. Everything was perfect and Stephen was happy. Then one day his mom just snapped and started rambling about monsters that kill people. She never stopped and eventually his dad just could not take it, so he had her admitted into a psych ward. A few years later when Stephen was 17, the bills that were piling up became too much, Stephen and his dad had to move in with his grandmother. She lives in a different neighborhood, in a different town, and in a different state. The town is called Spencer. A small town with a population of just 814. When he found out that his girlfriend’s brother, Devin, was killing people to appease The Winged Ones and the police wouldn’t do anything about it, he confronted Devin and the boys himself. That lead to Devin, the boys, and his girlfriend Cara, trying to sacrifice him as well. Even know he was outnumbered, Stephen still tried to fight back, he even got a few good hits on Cara and Devin. He learned forgiveness because after many years he finally called his mom. She had been wanting to talk to him for a long time but Stephen kept avoiding it. The truth is that he was mad at her. He was mad that she went crazy, he was mad that she left them, and he was mad that she told him everything would be good forever, and then proving that wrong. They supposedly come every time the town is in a bad time. So the townspeople have to sacrifice a person to them so the town will get out of its bad times. Devin and Cara were so desperate to get the town out of its bad times that they even sacrificed their own father at one point. When Devin befriended Stephen, and Cara began a relationship with him, he was a bit weary of them. Then all these little hints were popping up. An example is that Devin had an old man’s hat in his room, the same old man Stephen saw him talking to the other day. A little while after that old man went missing. He also found burned rope at the cemetery, which is also the place where the sacrifices happen. Stephen pieced all the hints together in his mind and found out that devin had been murdering people for the winged ones. He was not exactly wrong either, it was Devin, Cara, and the
