The Wounded Deer, 1946 Guernica, 1937 ‘Discuss how artists from different times and cultures have created aesthetic qualities in artworks, communicated ideas and developed style.’ Throughout history of art there have been so many artist so far, two of the most famous artist are Frida Kahlo and Pablo Picasso. Although they were born in different places and have different background but different period of time however both of them have a unique talent of art. Both of the artist have tried portraiture of themselves or of someone else before and everything they painted have a unique meaning about the artwork. The three is breaking down and have no branch and leaf on it also the deer is running in front of the tree branch with a leaf on the floor. Frida Kahlo painted this because she want to share her physical and emotional suffering with the audience and tell us that she cannot change her fate. This artwork is during Naïve art period and this artwork is oil painted the materials that are use is the Minimum Kit, Paints, Brushes, Palette knives, Canvas, Gesso, Saving Colors, Easel and Varnish. Frida Kahlo uses her own style like giving feeling to the people with her artwork using surrealism which get people investigate about her artwork like find out what the meaning behind her artwork. The element that are used in this artwork is line like the tree but also the arrow are a straight line and a branch of a tree is also line, shape is also indicate in this artwork which kind of look like a 2 dimensional shapes, I would say it an organic shapes uses. Form is also show in this artwork like an organic form including tree and the deer. I would say the colour is look realistic because Frida Kahlo make the tree look half dark and the ground look very realistic with the one dot that she painted. I think there a texture that she painted like the ground it look rough and the tree is also look rough like the darker part. The pattern is the tree because it keep on repeating and contrast would be the deer and the tree because if you look at the artwork for the first time you will see the tree and deer which is stand
