Chaim Potok’s The Chosen is a book that is not characterized by its suspenseful plots nor rich dialogue; instead, it conveys powerful the powerful themes are friendship and self-identity through subtle interactions between characters and by intertwining events in history to further develop the story (Chosen). The Chosen explores the unlikely friendship between two Jewish boys: Reuven Malter and Danny Saunders. Reuven is an Orthodox Jew raised by his scholarly father and writer, David Malter. He has a very warm relationship with his father. This is contrasted by Danny's strained relationship with his father, Rabbi Isaac Saunders, also known as Reb Saunders, who is a stubborn and intolerant leader of his congregation of Hasidic Jews.
Kelp are giant algae that supports diverse ecosystems. Kelp forests are an extremely productive ecosystem that provides shelter, food to many organisms, and habitat. Invertebrates, fish, and mammals are connected to the kelp species. These animals use the kelp as a shelter from prey and feeding areas. If the abundance of the kelp forest changes it will also affect the amount of fish.
I struggled to get used to this writing process, especially with MLA format, since I never used it professionally as I did in this class. The summary essay was quite simple and straightforward, which is also something that I enjoyed. The research argument essay was also a bit of a challenge, but I felt like I did a well-done job. I liked that I was able to talk about a subject I enjoyed, and learn also how to properly use citing within my essays. Furthermore, although there were some challenges and some ups and downs within the essays, I did learn a lot about how to properly write.
We have to write an essay about keeping in touch. I don’t really know what to write about or I assume this paper suppose to be about keeping in touch with someone. Here a few idea I think is the best way to keep in touch with someone is by though an email, text message, or even visit that person. Email is a great way to keeping in touch with friend or professor if you're in college.
Writing process is difficult to realize since it requires a lot of skills and knowledge. Definitely, not many of us can start writhing right away without having any problems such as grammar, vocabulary or organization. However, a person can become a better writer if he or she will practice writing every day and will pay attention to his writing problems. To become a good writer, I have to improve my grammar, follow specific steps in writing process, and avoid using similar transitional words. Grammar is the number one problem in the writing process and causes me a lot of issues.
The most difficult part of writing is choosing a topic. Some people are good at getting ideas on top of their heads, while others can have a hard time to find a topic they like. However, there are many ways to get ideas. You might have questions about your daily assignments. If the questions are arguable, you can write a great paper about it.
Every student has their own writing process. Writing process ways is the student's way to have the best writing assignments and make who ever read it understand their main idea. In this essay I am going to explain my own writing process for various type. In chapter 4 by Keith Hjortshoj “How Good Writing Gets Written” which talks about how should develops their writing skills and gives them some tips that they should use in their writing process.
With every new adventure, there is always room to improve. I have hardly ever excelled in my writing. As I entered this class I was discouraged by the course title alone “University Writing”. As the class progressed I found I had more knowledge about writing than I thought. With the help from the instructor and also the helpful online tools: grammarly.com, paperatr.com, and smarthinking.com writing have become less of a burden and more of a true adventure.
The type of writing I produce depends on the assignments, topics and audience. The four major topics are the writing experience, expressing opinions, argument research and revision. All these themes will tell me the content and audience I need in my essay. The first theme that we’re almost done is the writing experience and the assignment was to write a short essay on my experience with writing.
A ‘good’ writing for me is one that manages to capture the hearts of the readers. Well, that is really an abstract answer. To put it simply, there are several characteristic that I define as a ‘good’ writing. First of all, there is several area which is flawless, which is the spelling and also the grammar in the writing. This two element is important in showing a good paper.

I have always found writing hard but now I enjoy it more. I 'm not going to lie and say that it 's easy for me because it 's hard. I get lost with my thoughts a lot. What I say sounds way better then when I put it down on a paper. I have been wanting to write a small book of something.
ENG-122 Reflective Essay My writing process has changed tremendously over the course of this class. I feel more accomplished, confident and I feel sometimes that my ideas and thoughts just come in to my mind out of nowhere and I start writing about anything now. I pay attention to my punctuation and grammar more as I have polished them more now, not only when I write but then others write as well. I am constantly looking for errors and I highly think this is helping me a lot in my career.
Imagine moving from a small catholic school to a bigger public high school. I got to experience this my 8th grade year through my freshmen year. Each year at Hermann High School I have gotten to experience something new each year. Going from St.George to Hermann High School has had a huge impact because it has shaped me to be the person I am today. Hermann High School has helped me be more social, come out of my shell, be a leader, manage my time better, and to have more self confidence.
What does writing mean to me? Writing means getting people engaged in your piece. It means people wanting to keep reading what you wrote. The biggest thing about writing to me is expressing your thoughts and letting your mind go. Using good word choice and having a strong voice in the writing is something that makes it good.
