Is the pursuit of happiness the same thing as being happy? Is it reachable or is it just a thought? In today’s society that is a common goal most cultures strive for, it’s almost something that comes naturally since birth. Happiness is the feeling of being content and sa଀sfied with something or someone so, meaning all human kind has the right to pursue being happy but, it is really up to the person to decide if they are willing or wan଀ng to be happy. He saw a young fiេ�een year old boy dying in very bad condi଀ons and that he fed him and when the liᘀle boy opened his eye, he felt like he was des଀ned to help. He felt that the act of kindness he did is what made him happy ,so then on he became a volunteer there. As I men଀oned in the first paragraph happiness is the feeling of being sa଀sfied and content with something or someone, in the story “The Lesson of the Moth” Marquis (1927) the moth is definitely happy ,reason why the moth is happy is because he is sa଀sfied with his life. Over hundreds and thousands of years culture has always had an influence in our daily mo଀ves, it is what makes us unique from one another and what has made our decisions for us without thinking about it. A neat example is the American culture and the Chinese Culture both do same daily du଀es ,eat,sleep,and provide for shelter, but what makes the americans and the chinese unique is their beliefs. The chinese social structure is a bit different from the american social structure, in america it is believed “ if you respect me I respect you” no maᘀer what the age difference is, and in china its a bit more age categorizing. In China it is if one is older than another they are more wise , so a younger should not and could not talk down to an adult or similarize to their level without having their experience. HAPPINESS AND CULTURE If a chinese person were to come to america they would be shocked in the cultural differences that is done here in america
