Can the change of mass culture cause isolation and distance between people? In the story of Fahrenheit 451 Guy Montag discovers the reasons of why the world is the way it is,he goes on a journey through the story to show the truth of what is to become of all of us if our way of living doesn’t change. If our society sets us up for isolation between each other that will only follow. The way that people in Fahrenheit 451 view Socializing is different from how it is seen today,Clarisse notices this and brings up that ’’I'm very social indeed. It all depends on what you mean by social’’ (26). This statement speaks on how being social doesn't have the same meaning for everybody. Now in our society we use technology to speak to people and have interactions with each other,but its not face to face and isn’t real life encounters where everything is 100 percent authentic.
