Twelfth Night Final Essay At times there will be some weird or mad things in our lives even though we just have to roll with them. In William Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night Sebastian is wondering about all of the madness that happened to him to lead him to this very moment. Sebastian went from being on a boat with his sister; Antonio and now he is getting married to Olivia. There are other examples of this so-called madness. One being She’s the man and the other one Motocrossed. Seeing madness is only the beginning. In Act 4 Scene 1 Sebastian begins to ask himself what is happening to him and how he got to the spot his is at now. He thinks that he went through so much madness and he is just going to let it happen thus he is going to just go with the flow. In no fear Shakespeare Sebastian says “What does this mean? Where is this all going? Either I’m insane or this is a dream. I hope these delusions continue. If this is a dream, let me keep on sleeping! (4.1.20-23). Sebastian thinks he is either dreaming or he is just going crazy with madness. This is when Antonio gets captured; he doesn’t know what to do without him. Sebastian also thinks that sometimes that all of that is just luck. This is not the only story that follows this plot line. This also relates to She’s the Man because this is almost the same thing but instead of being a play; written in olden language it is simply just a modern-day movie.
