“ The Scarlet Ibis” By James Hurst Theme Paper My brother and I have a Love-Hate relationship, but sometimes it seems like a Hate-Hate relationship.He has recently gone to college making me realize how much I actually miss him (not really). Just like Brother and Doodle. Brother and Doodle are brothers but Doodle is crippled and wasn't thought to survive. Brother is ashamed to have a crippled Brother and tries to change Doodle. Even though pride can't talk or have slaves using personification to show how he had followed to his pride over all else and was letting it overcome him, causing catastrophe in the near future.
