In the second stave of the book Scrooge was feeling regret of what he did in the past. Evidence of regret is on pages 50-51. They are saying, “I not know your repentance and regret would surely follow? I do; and I release you. With a full heart, for the love of him you once were.”
According to the text he is very Greedy. Scrooge insults his marriage because it has to do with love, and he is selfish and a terrible liar. The text said he doesn't know the big idea about christmas and calls everyone else a jerk and idiot for not trying to work and pay it off. The author explains what he looks like by saying he has a pointed nose, red eyes, thin lips, and a shrew grating voice.
We come to learn that Scrooge changes with his attitude. One quote from the text that accurately confirms this is…“No warmth could warm, no wintry weather could chill him. ”(page 3). This excerpt from the text explains how troubled and insecure he is inside, using a metaphorical perspective. We, as the readers, can draw inferences and conclusions on how loathsome he seems.

An Intelligent boy, a remarkable boy. " This is a critical part of this novel because this shows Scrooge overcame his dislike of Christmas and his entire disliking of people. Instead of rudely gesturing to people, he is now starting to act nicer, and more mature.

Both of these definitions, while true, do not completely capture the concept I have of the term. My life experiences have molded and shaped the word for me into something that carries a sharper sword and a stronger shield. The first definition of resiliency is apparent more in objects and substances than in people. The ability of atoms to return to normal during an elastic collision and the plasticity quality the brain possesses are just a couple of examples of this.
