Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Was born on October 27, 1858, in New York City, New York. He was the second of four children who were born to Martha Stewart "Mittie" Bulloch and Theodore Roosevelt Sr. In his early life, Roosevelt Jr already faced asthma, but soon overcame it.
Theodore was homeschooled, for the most part, by his parents and tutors. Theodore was proficient in geography, history, and biology. He was also fluent in French and German. In his later life, Theodore entered Harvard College on September 27, 1876. After recovering from his father's death in 1878, he continued to study. Roosevelt also participated in rowing and boxing. He joined various clubs, and graduated from Harvard when he was 22 years old with honors.

Already, he was resolving corporate corruption. Roosevelt also exposed corruption in Albany. He was also the Chairman of the Committee on Affairs of Cities, where he wrote many bills.
Moving along, in 1901, Theodore Roosevelt was elected as the 26th President of the United States. During his first term, he used the power of his office to lead toward reform. He targeted monopolies and ordered the Justice Department to prosecute them. He did this under the Sherman Antitrust Act. President Roosevelt-during his second term- turned to railroad regulation. Later on, Roosevelt ordered an investigation of meatpacking industries. By doing this, it led to federal authorities to monitor the quality and safety of meat.
In 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was shot by a saloonkeeper who's name was John Flammang Schrank. The bullet penetrated through his eyeglass and a 50 page copy of the speech he would be giving. Luckily, he survived. He later delivered his speech with blood stains on his shirt.
