In 1858, the 26th president was born. Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most accomplished presidents in the United States’ history. Before his Presidency he held several offices which gave him outstanding political experience. Theodore Roosevelt was one of this best presidents the US has ever had and will always be remembered as on icon. On October 27, 1858 Theodore Roosevelt was born. Roosevelt was raised in New York City with his other three siblings. His father was named Theodore Roosevelt Sr. He was a well known and very accomplished businessman and philanthropist. He was the youngest president to ever hold office. In 1906, He signed a law that was passed by congress. This law prevented the destroying of an ancient objects without federal government permission. Roosevelt was very conservative and took pride in it. Since he was so conservative he had 150 million acres for federal reserves. He set up many national park grounds. He helped make 51 refuges for wildlife by getting the national monuments act (Preserving the past). Theodore got back into the study of law when he could no longer confine his energies (Builders America, Smyth). Forty-four governors attended the conclave and listened to the president "bully pulpit.” While in office Roosevelt had many role models he looked up to.
