Good Citizen So what characteristics makes a “good citizen” the late president, Theodore Roosevelt, states in his speech “The Duties of American Citizenship” that every citizen should actively participate in politics, also doing it in a practical manner and having the highest principles of honor and justice. I completely agree with Roosevelt’s speech. First of all, every citizen has the right to help influence politics in a lot of ways.
