Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was born on the 27th of October 1858 in New York City and is known for being the 26th president of the United States. Theodore was the second oldest out of four children from a family with Dutch and English roots. His father, Theodore Roosevelt Sr, was a businessman and his mother Martha Bulloch was the daughter of well off plantation and slave-owning family. His family was pretty prominent overall. As a child, Theodore Roosevelt suffered from asthma, poor eyesight and a weak body. For these reasons, he was homeschooled for most of his early years and grew up to become very curious about everything around him. Consequently, he became the governor of New York. Not long after that he was elected as Vice President to the McKinley Administration.
