Theodore Roosevelt also known as Teddy was born on October 27th of 1858. He was born into a wealthy family in New York . Teddy was said to be a sickly boy, bus as a teenager her was involved in a gymnastics and weightlifting program so that he could become a stronger man. As this young boy he spent a lot of his time in his family's great brownstone, which is also where he was homeschooled due to being so sickly.(Theodore) Teddy went to Harvard from 1876-1880 and his hard work did end up leading him to Columbia University Law School. While still in College he met a female named Alice Lee, who then became his wife. Alice and Teddy lived in New York which is where he wrote his very first book called, The Naval War of 1812. Eventually they were given 10% more of a pay increase and they did not have to work more than 9 hours a day. As most of us know Theodore was known for bringing the energy to the white house that it needed, for his trust busting and for being the youngest president in the US history so far. He did make laws that made what it called monopolies illegal. He stated that both rich and poor shall have the equal and same rights as one another. “We must treat each man on his worth and merits as a man” (Theodore). As his platform grew it became known as “The Square Deal”, all because of the amazing speech he did give. Roosevelt's ideas for foreign affairs was, “Speak softly and carry a big stick,” as this is still used today we should think hard about what Teddy said about the foreign affairs. There are many things he has done that he could be remembered for. He created several treaties that helped the American Business in the foreign trade and many more great things. Teddy is a man that many may have looked down on but there are many who still looked up to him. As Roosevelt helped with the military they had then became a stronger team and they have him to thank for that.(Essay) Some way to as how he helped them become stronger is simply by yelling at them and threatening them by telling them that he will send some of them over to Venezuela to protect the place and to kill anyone that sends over enemies, which is who they owed money to. Countries agreed with Roosevelt and they all said that it is not proper to force Collection of debts. This was then later put into the Monroe Doctrine as, “ The Roosevelt
