Their have been many presidents throughout the years; some good, some not as good. Each and every one of them have their pros and cons. All though Teddy Roosevelt had many struggles to face him before coming president, I believe that Teddy Roosevelt was the best president. Not only was he smart, he was athletic, and a dedicated conservationist. Teddy Roosevelt was very intelligent.
The best way to describe Theodore Roosevelt is an “Original”, a man like no other helping shape and influence American history for the better. Mostly known for serving two terms as president and being one of the youngest president’s to serve in history, but he was more than that. What made Theodore Roosevelt special was that he believed in peace but just because he wanted peace did not mean he would be a coward and be bullied by others. He has even won a noble peace prize for helping end the Russo-Japanese war. Being one of the few faces found on Mount Rushmore he has earned his right to be remembered throughout history.
President Theodore Roosevelt became president in 1901 after William McKinley. Roosevelt was vice-president but took the presidential position when McKinley was assassinated. He was the youngest president in United States History, but brought new excitement and power to the presidency as he led Congress and the American public towards progressive reforms and a strong foreign policy. Teddy Roosevelt had a prodigious impact on the United States during his presidency from 1901 to 1908, changing the landscape of the U.S. politically, economically, and socially. With all of his accomplishments while he was in office, consisting of the Square Deal, preserving lands, and many more, he improved the U.S overall.
Roosevelt had long given serious thought to the major of social and military issue facing the nation. When he was working with President McKinley, he was the secretary of the navy. Teddy believed that a powerful Navy have always regarded as our proper and natural means of defense; and it has always been of defense that we have thought, never of aggression or of conquest. But who shall tell us now what sort of Navy to build? We shall take leave to be strong upon the seas, in the future as in the past; and there will be no thought of offense or provocation in that.

Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was born on Wednesday, October 27, 1858 in New York. He was greeted by his two older siblings, Baime and Corrine.
The best presidents are ones with some style. All accomplishments and achievements to the side, a president should be memorable. Nobody does that better than Teddy Roosevelt. In September 1901 Theodore Roosevelt became president when William McKinley was assassinated. He thought that the presidency was basically a “bully pulpit”. Roosevelt was “a steward of the people bound actively and affirmatively to all he could for the people” (Divine 2013, p. 546). Roosevelt tried to bridge the gap between the African Americans and the whites but most southerners believed that what he was trying to do was a crime that was equal to treason.

Roosevelt was very persistent in every job he had, as well as his many roles in the government. He served on a police board and he was a strong supporter of the war in Spain. He had joined a group called the Rough Riders.

Both his mother and his deeply admired father died at very young ages, when Teddy was very young. Teddy was teased and bullied as a young kid, but remained a good student with great grades throughout his school career. Theodore had a very spotty education, but somehow ended up receiving a college education at Harvard University.

As the leader of the Republican Party during that time, he was the influential force for the Progressive Era in the United States in the early 20th century. He served as Assistant Secretary of the Navy under William McKinley, resigning after one year to serve with the Rough Riders, where he became well known for his time served during the Spanish–American War. Seeing Believes: The world God Once Knew The cool summer evening brushed the trees with a slight breeze. The occasional car driving through town past the town clock which displayed the time 12:37pm.
