There Will Come Soft Rains In the poem “There will come Soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale, the general idea of the poem is that nature will go on even if mankind no longer exists. It also relates to the book “There will come soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury, the house in the story operates itself so it just kept going and it never stopes, it kind of is like nature in Teasdale’s poem. In the beginning of the poem it was talking about how peaceful nature was, then it goes into how war was going to end things and kill humans. The humans are doing this to themselves. War is not nature it is mankind. The poem “There will come soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale, the poem states that nature wouldn’t care that mankind is gone. It says “And not one will know of the war, not one will care at last when it is done.” It basically says that nature will go on even if war destroys mankind. The poem and the book are similar about the fact that things will still go on even if mankind wipes itself out. For example, in the book the house was the main character. In the story a bomb went off and there were no humans just the house. The house still worked but no one used the house, the house just did the usual thing like make dinner for no one, keep the house clean etc. It keeps going until it ketches on fire and tries to get the fire
