Theresa Marie Schiavo's case is very complicated to determine if the right decisions were taken, when it all came to keep hope on someone's life or just let that person die because of a brain damage due to lack of oxygen to her brain for several minutes. Even friends of Terry had testified that Terri used to think that ‘Where is life there is a hope”. Another big part of Terri’s illness circumstances was the money awarded for the malpractice of medical provided to Terri causing this illness, something that could be avoided if the proper medical serviced was provided. Terri’s treatments were being paid with this money granted, even nursing homes were paid with this money, something that Michael thought needed to stop with no hope over Terri’s life thinking that she could never improve on her illness. Michael used to say that Terri was his life, and he would do the possible to keep her alive, but that changed eventually without hope for an artificial life. Eventually, Michael had decided to remove the tube and no court order was created to reconnect it, and with the so called “the right to die” decision, died in Florida after the removal of the feeding tube that kept her alive.
