The characteristics of being a mentor are, Approachability, availability, and the ability to listen. As well as the Ability and willingness to communicate what you know. I started to understand this way he had practice on the ice, and the his character that he showed everyone that he had. He had a great character being a hard coach and funny at times. That is was I think lots of players had lots of respect for coach Novock on the hockey team, and I definitely learned from him by him just being a great coach that he is. It has showed me a lot of very important things in life like what is right in life as well as what is wrong in life as well. He has gotten me to become a very influential respectful youngman, and got me to do things I don't think I could ever really do in life. And when things get harder or easier for me in life the things that he taught me I will always remember and never forget them this gave me a huge understanding of the people that just wanna become better, and those who dont wanna get better and achieve nothing. This shows how the captain of the team was pushing the team, and my personal mentor would be my coach on the way he pushed my team to finally win a state championship from the last state title being over 30 years ago
