If you killed someone, would you run away? Johnny Cade and Ponyboy Curtis killed someone and ran away in the novel The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton. Johnny’s choices had the greatest impact of Ponyboy’s life and relationship with others because they had to run away after bob’s murder. After Johnny died, he had a negative impact on Ponyboy’s life after he died in the hospital. Ponyboy blacked out his death and refused to accept what happened.
In the book The Outsiders Johnny one of the chrarcters kills someone. I am predicting that he will not be guilty for many reasons. One reason Johnny should not be guilty is because it was self defense. Ponyboy and Johnny had both been walking in a park at 2:30 a.m when they saw the blue Mustang pull up. The five Socs walked out and approched the two boys.
b) Setting: The Outsiders takes place in the 1960’s in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I know that this book takes place in the 1960’s because of some of the terms said in the story. First, I originally thought this book was in the 1960’s when I heard the name “Elvis Presley”. Elvis Presley used to be a very famous artist.

When analyzing the two novels, one can compare and contrast the social inequalities racism, classism, and bullying. These inequities enhance the reader’s understanding of how society is separated. While racism is present in The Wednesday Wars, the subject is not present in The Outsiders.
The Outsiders: Compare and Contrast In the novel “The Outsiders,” by S.E Hinton and the movie by Francis Ford Coppola have numerous similarities and differences. Our thoughts on these particular aspects are very diverse as the universe is. Many things have been either left out or diminished from the movie, which makes it less interesting as the suspense lessens as you have finished reading the book. Although this might be the case, there were also many similarities between the two sources.
Johnny made this spontaneous decision because the Socs were trying to drown Ponyboy in the park’s fountain. When Ponyboy realized Johnny murdered Bob, Ponyboy was as frightened as if he was at a haunted house . The consequence of this choice was that Johnny and Ponyboy felt guilty ,and they Both decided to run away for a like one million years. Johnny said, “I killed him. I killed that boy (pg56).”
A clear sign of the gangs influence on Johnny was when he decided to prevent the Soc’s from drowning Ponyboy and defending himself instead of letting the Socs beat them up and have them possibly drown Ponyboy. More specifically, after finally fighting back and killing Bob, he says to Ponyboy “‘I killed him’ he said slowly. ‘I killed that boy”’(Hinton 56). Here the author is explaining how shocked Johnny was once he killed the Soc.
The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton, is a novel that explores the challenges faced by Ponyboy Curtis and his fellow gang members, growing up in the town of Tulsa, Oklahoma whilst living in the crossfire of two rival gangs: the Greaser and the Socs. During Ponyboy's journey he learns many important lessons, but after several tragic events, three key lessons stand out from all others. These are: to “stay gold,” not to judge others too quickly others and the pointless of violence. One of the most important lessons Ponyboy learns in The Outsiders is to, “Stay gold.”
In this book report I will talk about the book “The outsiders” written by S.E. Hinton, I will do a review of the story, the point of view, theme, symbols and my opinion about this book I really liked to read for the English class. The story is about a boy named Ponyboy who lived in a small town in Texas with his two brothers Darry and Sodapop were a gang war was taking place between two different social class people: The Socs and the Greasers. Ponyboy will learn the consequences bad acts can bring to your life in the middle of a gang war. The greasers were a middle class and not so social kind of people who liked to get in trouble and The other gang The Socs were a most of them a high class or middle-high class group of people who where they went they will always go in groups of like three or four people.
They might have killed you ( Hilton 57) . This indicates that Jonny only killed Bob to save Ponyboy . Jonny wasn 't a cold blooded killer , his was just scared . " " Listen , I don 't mind dying now . It was worth it .
This was shown when Johnny killed Bob the Soc in order to save Ponyboy from drowning. After killing him, Johnny says, “I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might’ve killed you. And they had a blade… they were gonna beat me up…”
