Racism goes on anywhere whether it’s through the media, the real world, or it even comes out from your mouth on accident. In the novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird”, by Harper Lee racism is a major conflict among the people in Maycomb. Their biggest disease was the racism among each other, and all the injustice. Throughout the story, colored people are treated and considered less than a white person. This novel continues as where two siblings, Scout and Jem grow and learn from the real world. In the novel, the author emphasizes that we must learn how to embrace those around us even though they are different due to race, gender, or religion.
