The play "Things I Know to be True" by Andrew Bovell revolves around the Price family, who live in Australia. The story follows the family's dynamics over the course of a year. It is a Naturalistic play that uses dialogue, light, sound, set design and character development to tell the story

The play’s main focus is the conflicts that occur as a result of the family members trying to find their position within the family. The play talks about many topics, such as gender roles, family dynamics, love and relationships, cultural identity, and betrayal, this allows the characters to express themselves personally and culturally and reflect on their cultural identity.
