“Things” by Oddisee is an underground hip hop song about the more serious things in life. “Things” is a song featured on Oddisee’s new album entitled “The Iceberg” which is released on February 24, 2017. Oddisee says that “Things” acts as a mission statement for the entire album. “Things” has a deep groove with very quick lyrics about all the things Oddisee has been through, both good and bad. With Oddisee's new album, he wants to expose a message which is, how we see ourselves and how others see us. On the album, he has many different musical styles in “The Iceberg” such as jazz, Go-go, gospel, and thick R&B with hard beats. His real name is Amir Mohamed el Khalifa, and he was born on January 1, 1985., he is 32 years old. He started music in 1999 at the age of only 14. He was influenced by his parents heritage, which was hip-hop. In 2010 Oddisee’s mixtape “Odd Spring” was listed on the Washington Post “Best Local Mixtape.” Oddissee is signed by the record label, Mello Music group, but prior to that, he was signed by Halftooth records, and All City records.
