The film "Thirst Street" portrait an emotional journey of a flight attendant named Gina, who wrongly fall in love with a Frenchman, Jerome after a one night stand in Paris, then both their destiny changes in the face of another. The film is stunning with very compelling visual cinematography and two gifted actors, however the movie was somehow not satisfying because of its predictability.
Because of the suicidal strategy of Gina's husband, this one-sided affection becomes an important motivation for Gina to be happy and get over the past experience. The narration of the film reveals Jerome's understanding of Gina's experience, leading it more difficult for him to completely break up with her. The film reveals small details that show Jerome's taking over Gina's life, such as the contagious eye infection, Gina's abandonment her career and family, moving to Paris and depression over being heartbroken. The director use of light and color into the film illustrate a richer story in many ways. First of all is to tell a love story from Gina's perspective. The romance in Gina's imagination is certainly being dramatized by the use of intense, hazy colors of pink and red. Those moments are shown in the color setting of the strip club in Paris, the color when they have a drunken love-making. The viewing experience of the story and scenario would have been incredibly opposite if it was painted by a real mundane color and lighting setting. In contrast, the color shifted when Gina come back to her reality such as when getting back to the airplane, getting the "Plan B" pregnancy prevention. In this case, the setting of the Gina's coming back to Paris and the strip club to find Jerome play a vital role for Silver to immerse the audience to a different world of
