In this documentary we will focuses on the issues that non-native speakers are facing in the university. Some of the problems that are documented in this documentary include the language barriers, cultural and social differences, living far from home, and the difficulty in making new friends. This topic for the documentary is the best because we have many non-native speaker students in our university and this documentary will help to bring to light the issues they face. The documentary is the best way to teach the public as they easily narrate with the events in it. It is a thing that most of the people native and non-native can relate to. Bringing to light the social issue will help the non-native speakers overcome some of the challenges. The topic is also a doable one and presents a visual problem. The narrow topic that focuses on challenges faced by non-native speakers is realistic and tells a true story that has not yet been openly voiced before. We hope that the documentary will influence the opinions that people have about non-native speakers and change their will to help them overcome certain challenges in their life. The documentary topic meets the criteria through all the stated activities and we hope it will bring change in the university.
The documentary topic is appropriate for the documentary as it draws attention to a public issue that is quite challenging yet many people do not know about. The non-native speakers are the minority in the university with native speakers forming the majority. The majority may not relate to the problem yet the non-native speakers wish to overcome the obstacles and challenges they face in the process. They should also change their opinion regarding the non-native speakers and the ability to communicate well with others. Some of the challenges are not known to many or ignore.
