The fight for American independence from Britain began in 1775 at the Battle of Lexington and Concord and concluded with the colonies' freedom from Britain in 1783 (Ambuske 2018). Today, over two hundred years have passed since the conclusion of the Revolutionary War, but Americans still honor and remember the fight for American independence.
Stand and Deliver was a great movie with many lessons to learn. There were many characters in the movie that exhibited many behaviors and on-course principles, but I will talk about three that grabbed my attention more. The three characters that grabbed my attention the most was Angel, Pancho, and Mr. Escalante. Angel exhibited victim speak because he would in the beginning he was not in the right path. Angel hung out with cholo’s who did not care about school and did whatever they wanted.
The 1977 film Close Encounters of the Third Kind is a wonderful example of the cumulation of the various topics that have been discussed throughout class thus-far creating an interesting science fiction story though the manipulation of cinematic forms. Thomas, and Terrence Roberts. The girls of the group were Carlotta Walls LaNier, Minnijean Brown, Elizabeth Eckford, Thelma Mothershed, Gloria Karlmark, and Melba Pattillo Beals. Ernest Green was a senior when he started at central, he was the first African-American student to graduate from Central High. They commonly faced challenges of the segregationists.

The Search For a New America The Searchers, directed by John Ford, First comes across as a heroic journey of an uncle and nephew in the dangerous wild west on the search of their kidnapped loved one. However, as the story progresses, we see an even deeper meaning and emotionally complex significance behind their journey. As the story unravels we find that our supposed protagonist is the highly flawed Ethan Edwards, played by John Wayne, is an Indian-hating civil war veteran that was always seen as an outsider from the moment he entered the first frame. The film techniques used in this film include framing shots,non-diegetic elements, western conventions, high and low angle shots and close ups.
Like a gothic mastermind, Tim Burton incorporates dark, grotesque, child-like themes in his cinematic style. A director’s cinematic style is how their film is recognized and the techniques in their films to give their work value. Tim Burton is known for his unique cinematic style that has made his films one of a kind. Tim Burton’s style is made so unique through his use of sound tracking, lighting, and costuming for his films such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Edward Scissorhands. Tim Burton applies sounds such as background music and sound effects to add reality and emphasis to the film and to create a certain, precise moods.
Frankie and Alice is a movie that was released in 2010 but didn’t receive widespread notice until 2014. Frankie Murdoch is an African American go-go dancer fighting against two alter egos: a seven-year-old child named Genius, and a southern, racist, white woman named Alice. Genius is seven years old, and, as her names suggests, she is a genius. She is nearsighted, and has an outstanding IQ of 156. She actually likes and cares for Frankie, but is afraid of the other alter ego, Alice.
