Thomas Edison Have you ever had a dream to make something magnificent? Many people in the world have thought this way. One person in particular, Thomas Alva Edison. Thomas Edison was a man with an extraordinary imagination. Edison would think of an idea and work at it vigorously until he could bring his imagination to life. Thomas Edison is considerably one if not the greatest inventor in America. The invention we people hold dearest today. Thomas Edison was an eager and creative person with a mind of unimaginable capabilities filled with desires and dreams. Thomas Edison invented the commercial light bulb because he yearned for a way to see within the darkness. Lamps and fire were short-lived and would cause fires. During the 1800’s many people used kerosene lamps to illuminate their pathways and homes, with Edison’s idea, he could become successful and change the world along with making American citizens and homes a little more safer. Another reason Edison invented the many other things he invented was because he wished for change and prosperity in America.
