His inventions helped many things change in the world. During his life he made 1,093 inventions. Most of these inventions are still active today and changed the world forever. Thomas Edison was a man who had an impact on America more than anyone else. Some of his inventions are still used to this day.
He was the youngest of seven children and his mother was a teacher. Thomas Edison helped invent over 1000 inventions, some of which include the camera and the microphone, but Edison’s largest success in life was the recreation of the light bulb, in 1879 when he discovered that a carbon filament inside an oxygen-free bulb could glow (Science for Kids). Significance: The most obvious significance of the recreation of the electric light bulb is that people now had easy access to a light to use after the sun went down.
Thomas Alva Edison, born on February the 11th, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. Thomas edison had a great impact on the world with a world record of 1,093 individual or collaborate patents throughout his 84 years of life. He was the inventor of many products we still use to this day like the Lightbulb, the Telegraph which was later innovated as well as Motion Picture and his very first invention the Electrographic Vote Recorder. Thomas edison came from a family of 7 and was the youngest of them. Samuel and Nancy Edison were his parents.
There has been many great innovators in the past, such as Nikola Tesla, Leonardo da Vinci, and Thomas Edison; who helped progressed the world and also inspired me to innovate as well, so I may help progress the world forward, as they have done in their time. One of the most famous, if not the famous innovator might have to be, Thomas Edison. Although he is not my favorite innovator, Edison did however help progress the world forward. Many of his inventions such as the phonograph, motion picture camera, and DC (better known as direct current) have helped shaped the world; but the invention that made Edison well known is the invention of the incandescent light bulb. But unlike the other two innovators I listed above, Edison was mainly the only one that seemed to care more about the money and fame then the progression of the world.
He was the force behind such innovations as the phonograph, the incandescent light bulb and one of the earliest motion picture cameras (History.com). There are many devices in our world today that have these components and could be traced back Edison. If you look at your cell phone, it's got a light, recorded music from devices like the phonograph, and images on it (Britannica). Without Thomas Edison, we wouldn’t have the same technology that we have today.

The improvements were made and as a result the light bulb continued to last more than it did previously. Edison invented the motion picture and was the first to ever use a rotating film to display images that were animated. He was the most well-known inventor of his time period seen by his bright innovations and way of thinking.
