Tom Robinson is crippled on his left hand which was caused by getting his hand stuck in a Cotton GIn when he was 12 years old, as Tom recalled "I got it caught in a cotton gin, caught it in Mr. Dolphin Raymond's cotton gin when I was a boy....almost bled to death....tore all the muscles loose from my bones." (Lee pg 186)”. This shows that Tom Robinson couldn’t have choked her and beat her with one hand so it would have been almost impossible to do any of this. The Kite Runner by Khalid Alhussaini is very inspiring and powerful novel about a Pashtun named Amir who is looking back over his life during the transition from childhood to adulthood. Amir grew up in a prosperous district of Kabul, Afghanistan. His father was known and respected by others, Amir tried his best to follow his father steps and always craved his love and attention. Ali and his son Hassan (Amir 's best friend), are both loyal servants to Baba and Amir yet and unlike Amir; are of the minority Hazara who is not respected in Afghanistan.

Guilt from various fights with Afghanistan’s superior social classes, an accessory to a crimes and the witnessing of his close friend’s violent rape while he stood stagnant; haunt Amir. Also, having an absent mother, an estranged relationship with his father and working as a servant for the upper classmen shaped Amir’s outlook on life. But within having these obstacles Amir becomes almost immediately relatable to the books wide audience because it is realistic.

The Kite Runner is a novel written by Khaled Hosseini, this novel shares the story of a young boy named Amir and his transition from childhood to adulthood. Amir makes many mistakes as a child, but the moral of the story is to focus not on the mistakes he has made, but how he has grown, and become a better man by redeeming himself for the mistakes he has made. The mistakes he has made mostly revolve around his friend Hassan, and his father Baba. Three of the most prominent mistakes are when Amir doesn’t help Hassan when he is being attacked by the village boys, lying to Baba about Hassan, and not appreciating and abusing Hassan’s loyalty to him.
For the realistic fiction book, I chose to read ON THE RUN by Michael Coleman. This story follows a teenage boy who is named Luke Reid who lives in London, England. There were many small conflicts in the story that brought up the main conflict of the story which was that the main character Luke, had to be a guide runner for a blind girl named Jodi, in the London Marathon. To achieve this, Luke must train hard by himself to be able to run fast enough, and he will have to train with Jodi to make sure that he is the best guider that he can be.
Yesterday, I was informed that every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have to go to see a therapist to help with the night terrors and my supposed PTSD. I visited the base yesterday, but this was the first time I had actually noticed that as I got closer and closer to the entrance, my flashbacks became more and more intense. Today, I get dressed quickly and head to the same familiar location. Calm down Dawson, deep breaths; I repeat this over and over in my head until I don’t see anything but the road and the palm trees swaying in the distance.

Running the Maze Imagine being trapped inside of a place with no memory of how you got there and the only way to get out was through a maze. James Dashner’s young adult, science fiction novel, The Maze Runner is about just that. There were a brunch of themes in the novel but the most important ones were maintaining rules and orders, making sacrifices, never giving up, and manipulation, even though something may look simple it might be harder than it seems. All these themes were practiced by Thomas and other Gladers in the Glade. Dashner also wrote the sequels to the Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials and Death Cure.
Admiring the world for the last time, I accept my fate. Two guards come in the cells. Chaos breaks as mother is torn away from son, wives torn from husbands, brothers and sisters separated from each other. Those that were left were weeping.
