In the story entitled Animal Farm by George Orwell there is a character that is a horse named Boxer, he represents the Russian workforce, the story is an allegory of the Russian Revolution. Boxer is a protective animal and will go to the extremes to protect his fellow animals on Animal Farm. Not only is Boxer a protective animal he is also a very diligent worker that will work to the max. However, Boxer’s main character trait that not many animals on the farm have, but he does is loyalty. Boxer is defined by these character traits which are being protective, diligent, and loyal on the farm.
Boxer was always working hard and obeying the rule that were set in place, and he created a great reputation for himself. He was so perfect that even the other animals strived to have the amount of energy and determination that he had. He mostly lived by his own personal motto which he would say anytime he was distressed. Whether he made a mistake or was being criticized, he wouldn’t fail to break into his motto, “I will work harder!” (29).
This also shows that he respects Napoleon 's opinion because he is their leader. Overall, Boxer’s undying loyalty had been shown in several ways. Moreover, Boxer was the most hardworking

Although Boxer represents one of the tricked supporters in the russian revolution he is still the loyal,hardworking,and dedicated horse the other animals view him as. Boxer quickly became devoted to Napoleon. One of his catchphrases are "Napoleon is always right" which shows how much power Napoleon has over Boxer. This catchphrase isn't just something Boxer said though. He also shows through his actions that he is devoted and has a lot of trust in Napoleon. "it was always Boxer who strained himself against the rope and brought the boulder to a stop."
Animal Farm by George Orwell is a fictional novel that was published in 1945. This story not only has a remarkable and thought-instigating plot, but additionally has a political purpose: to critique soviet communism. Orwell’s intended audience was for citizens across the globe, because he wanted this book to educate people about the negative parts of Soviet Communism. Based on Orwell’s use of irony and motifs, the perfect communist society would see every citizen as an individual, not just what physical work they can accomplish.
He works hard everyday to allow him to feel better within himself. He wants to achieve his goal by never giving up on anything so that maybe he will be noticed more. This is also shown though that novella when it states how much food he gains. In the novella Orwell writes, “It was only his appearance that was a little altered; his hide was less shiny than it had used to be, and his great haunches seemed to have shrunken” (45). Boxer is fed very poorly and very rarely.
A large group of people can be easily influenced based on one's choice of words. In Animal Farm, George Orwell uses intellectual animals that acquire power through language to show the effect that compelling language has on individuals. Orwell characterizes the pigs as manipulative through Snowball and Squealer to reveal that language can be used as a persuasive tactic to influence society. Snowball is characterized as persuasive as his speech is acknowledged to reveal that he can convince the animals to agree with his opinions.
Because he failed to question the propaganda, he wasn’t able to see his health declining and this would end up hurting his usefulness to the government and the lack of questions led to the end of his life. If Boxer had questioned the propaganda he might of not died like that and would of been able to carry on a longer
The passage above is very important to the entire plot of George Orwell’s Animal Farm in multiple ways. Firstly, this passage introduces the concept of the character Napoleon’s agenda as the leader of the farm. On the surface, Napoleon comes across as friendly and benevolent, but in reality, this is the first example of him asserting his role as a leader before any other character has the chance to. This helps to foreshadow his leadership role later in the text, and even though he puts Snowball in charge of taking all of the other animals to the fields to harvest, which seemingly gives that character a position of authority, he stays behind to take care of the milk himself, which subtly puts him in a higher position of authority of Snowball.

The Use of Propaganda in Animal Farm by George Orwell Propaganda is defined as misleading or biased information spread for the advancement of a cause. In the historical fiction novel Animal Farm written by George Orwell farm animals overpower their human leader and attempt to construct a movement in which all animals are equal. Propaganda is evident throughout the story. Not far in it becomes apparent that the pigs are the most intelligent. Squealer, the propaganda agent uses propaganda in the story as a way to manipulate the animals who are not pigs.
Using the examples of Napoleon and Boxer this essay will discuss the truths of human nature and express the traits of these characters both good and bad including; loyalty and obedience as well as selfishness and greed. Napoleon represents the corrupt political dictators that have been in power before and even after the novel was written. He slowly and subtly put himself into power of the farm and was very manipulative in the way he got there. The animals were always ensured that everything he did was for the good of the farm but as the book goes on Napoleon’s hunger for power is revealed.
