Leaders are everywhere, from your parents, to the presidents of your country. Many would say that leadership is the act of leading a group of people or an organization. Most of the worlds greatest leaders have some form of these three characteristics, commanding, confidence and charisma. These characteristics were followed by these leaders and therefore stayed timeless. Timeless means not affected by time, which says that these characteristics didn 't change from the past till now. Showing confidence, being commanding and having that charisma is what separates the leaders from the great leaders throughout time. In life, many decisions have to be made. Having charisma means that you have a charm which makes people like you, inspires them to do their best and express devotion for the leader. Not everyone has charisma and it takes a long time to build it. Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela are examples of leaders who have charisma. Many people like them were also well liked by people which helped them resolve the issues in their country. One person who greatly exemplified charisma was the pharaoh Cleopatra. Cleopatra was the pharaoh of Egypt from 51 BC - 30 BC and ever since shown herself as charismatic leader. An example of her charisma is when Cleopatra made many great allies including Mark Antony and Julius Caesar to help her fight wars. Julius Caesar met Cleopatra when he fled to Egypt in pursuit of his enemy Pompey who had already been killed by the Egyptians. According to Glenn who is a Los Angeles City College graduate, studied education and currently works as a tutor for school-age children and Castle who graduated with a degree in the English language and Literature and has a master’s degree in the social sciences “Specifically, for Cleopatra’s side, she saw how a Caesar’s fleet could easily return her to power which he eventually did,” (School Advisor 2018) This shows that she strategically knew to make Caesar her close friend, in return making the Egyptian military stronger. Not only did she become close with one Roman leader but she became close with two. The second leader that she became close with was Mark Antony. Mark was a roman general under Julius Caesar at the time. Cleopatra saw him as an asset to improve her army even more.
