I. Introduction The United States is founded on the concept of Liberty. As expressed in the Constitution, all United States citizens are entitled to the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These values have been endlessly challenged throughout history in an attempt to determine where freedom should end and where government regulation might begin.
The American Democracy Now textbook explains about the different 9 chapters, such as The Constitution, Federalism, Civil Liberties, Public Opinion, Interest Groups, Political, and etc. Within each of the 9 chapters it describes a brief history of America and how it help mold and shaped the way we live, and the way we think from a different perspective of a person opinion. Throughout the years, technology has influenced different ways people and government communicates and organizes their political campaigns such as television, computers, cell phones, and news services. Technology has challenged people to give them opportunities to respond to make a deep impact in the future of the nation.

Such autonomy is the one in play in forging an agreement of the general interest that dictates administrative strategy or policy framework. On the other hand elitism notion regarding the administration states that a chosen few of the most affluent and influential people or groups direct and influence public policy that works in their favor and satisfies their own interests. Various scholarly standpoints reveal that a more contemporary notion of American administration and partisan matters incorporate the two worldviews of partisan behavior.
While Democracy was being practiced in Colonial America, it has had its dark side as well. Almost to balance out the good in what is happening, everything needs a balance in life. So, what makes the Democracy in Colonial America have undemocratic features are the voting and the treatment of African Americans and Women in the colonies. The voting which happened in America, "which is stated in document 2, shows us that only Christian white males were the only ones who could vote. " This is not a democracy, if only a certain group could vote and they leave out the women, African Americans, and other ethnic groups out.
Our founding fathers based our nation upon certain core values. These values prompted men to take up arms to not obtain but defend them as well requiring some to make the ultimate sacrifice. These core values are liberty, individualism, equality and self-government. The pilgrims, the earliest settlers, came to this continent to pursue religious liberty since they were persecuted by government officials.
The United States is no Longer Following a Democracy A democracy is a form of government in which the people decide important matters and problems. Is the United States following this definition of democracy? The answer is no.
What is America to you? Democracy is what first would come to mind, it is the core value of what America stands for. Being democratic has given the United States of America a title of a leader of change by its people. Recent survey information from local University of California, Santa Barbara students, the millennials feel as though the democratic system is up to our values with improvement of representation toleration in our nation.
The United States of America is not truly a democracy. America’s government is all over the place and pretty much a mixture of everything, it never has been just democracy. The characteristics of a democracy are where the majority wins but that never really happens. For example the president election majority does not elect the president. The United States of America is not a democracy for many reasons; Rule by law, we are more a republic than a democracy, and the founders of a nation didn 't want a democracy.
Have you ever asked yourself "how would the world be if there was no structure to allow people to vote for the person who is leading their country?". How about "Does my vote really count ?" or "does the opinion and choice of me, one person, really make a difference?". These questions aren't simply answered but should be seriously thought of by anybody who is a citizen of a country which has an established government and truly cares about the wellbeing and future of the country that they live in. I will be focused on the importance of voting for the president themselves is important. Individuals whom are over the age 18 and have a vailidated citisenship of the country they wish to vote on, have the opretunitiy to vote on several different ascepts of the government.
Most people may not know what America’s five founding ideals are. For those who don’t know they are, Liberty, Opportunity, Democracy, Rights, and Equality. The original colonists worked hard to give us these ideals. A lot of the time the people who live in the USA take it for granted. They don’t think about how the colonists worked to get us these rights.
Child Neglect- the negligent treatment or maltreatment of a child by a parent or by a caretaker under circumstances indicating harm or threatened harm to the child’s health or welfare. Child neglect is something different than actual abuse although some may argue it is some form of abuse, reported cases of neglect outnumbered those of physical abuse. There is that very fine line between actual neglect and poor parenting; it covers a wide range of activities, and there is no single set of factors established that clearly divides neglect and poor parenting if child neglect is detected everything must be viewed with caution.
