Linda Viera Caballero, better known as La India, is a one of the best singer-songwriters in the latin music industry. Born on March 9, 1969, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, La India was raised in the South Bronx area of New York City. Her parents left Puerto Rico soon after she was born and they moved in with her grandmother.
In "Migra! A History of the U.S Border Patrol", By Kelly Lytle Hernandez, she explores the controversial issue today known as the dissension that surrounds our border with Mexico. Hernandez also outlines the policies and ideology of the U.S Border Patrol that were discovered and really brought out in the early 1920s to the late 1920s. She does a detailed research on the beginning to what becomes the authorized United States Border Patrol.
Though sometimes thought of as a single road, it is more accurate to describe the El Camino Real de los Tejas as a network of trails, with different routes used at different times. Numerous feeders branched off the main course and other segments didn 't appear until much later, with the trails coming together at San Antonio and Nacogdoches, the only two population centers in those early days. The trail also varied due to flooding and Indian threats. The route between Rio Grande River and San Antonio gradually shifted southeastward over time, due to threats by the Apache and Comanche tribes. In the beginning, it was almost exclusively utilized by Spaniards moving northeastward serving as a lifeline for the missions, as a trade route, and a cattle trail.
This poem is about two children playing a game they call “La Migra”. “La Migra” is Mexican slang for U.S border agents. The name of this poem is very powerful. Throughout the poem, two distinct roles are played in the game. The two roles are the US border agent and the Mexican attempting to flee Mexico.

Unfortunately her career was cut short by the president of her own fan club, Yolanda Saldívar. Saldívar had been embezzling money submitted by member and of the fan club as well as financial profit from Selena's clothing store.
The El Camino Real de los Tejas served as a lifeline for Spanish Missions. It moved men and equipment rapidly, and brought them much needed supplies. It also served as a communication line, and supported trade, supplies, and military protection. In a similar way, this pathway contributed to Texas independence. It gave troops and armies supplies that were needed, and enabled communication.

Maquiladoras are industries run by foreign companies. They’re major contributors to the economy of Mexico. Maquiladoras were first introduced in 1965 to help increase exports and help industrialization along the U.S and Mexico border. President Donald Trump wants to build a wall alongside Mexico’s border. This wall goes against the North American Free Trade Agreement as imports and exports between Mexico and America will be affected due to the strict regulations.
To this day, Reies Lopez Tijerina is still best known for organizing the armed raid on the Tierra Amarilla courthouse in New Mexico in 1967. For many, it was his efforts in this movement that made him into one of the core Chicano civil rights movement leaders. Tijerina, known for his charisma, strong convictions, and great public speaking skills, used his talents to learn and bring attention to the injustices associated with the land grants. It was his commitment to the movement that inspired him to talk about the issues on his radio program called “The Voice of Justice”. He spread his knowledge with his strong command of words and, he ultimately inspired others to listen and to follow his leadership.
The stories “El Tonto del Barrio” by Jose Armas and “El Barrio” by Robert Ramirez are two pieces that illustrate the lives, traditions, and hardships of Chicanos. Hispanics make up the largest ethnic minority group in the United States. Like many other ethnic and racial minority groups, they have had to withstand discrimination in the work place and in daily life. In both stories, the most prevalent issues are poverty and the lack of education, which are directly correlated. These issues create tensions within the community and between the community and society as a whole.

The classification climate system that I implemented use the variable of annual temperature and annual rain fall for Texas. Using this classification system I was able to find the best places to plant cool season plants and warm season plants, as well which area to avoid in plating
