Seven Pounds is a moving film that stars Tim Thomas in his redemption journey to change the lives of seven people. The crash that took the lives of seven people including Tim’s wife, Sarah Jenson, is what kick started his journey. Tim sets out his life to interview seven potential candidates throughout the film that he could help by donating parts of his organs.

The main ethical issue in the film is how he saved the lives of others by laying down his own.
Laying down his own is an act similar to what Jesus did according to the Bible.
“No one has greater love than to lay down his own life for his friends” (John 15:13)
His method of laying down his life was committing suicide which could be viewed as a sin to believers of the Christian religion.
