Hello all, I am Tim Wyness. I am originally from Connecticut, where I graduated summa cum laude from Post University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. I am a former U.S. Marine and currently live in Pennsylvania. For the past 10 years I have been obsessed with getting into a top three MBA program. And this goal has greatly influenced everything I have done from then until now.

In order to be a more competitive MBA applicant my career has been focused solely on producing extraordinary results and getting promoted, nothing else. While I was an analyst at the Office of Personnel Management I was able to save the 3rd-party assisted acquisitions office (Vendor Management Branch) $6M annually. While I was an analyst at the Internal Revenue Service I worked in acquisition oversight and was able to save the IT division $7.7M during fiscal year 2015. The first of these accomplishments led to two promotions. As such, I went from being GS12 to GS14 in less than three years. I can say, however, which ones I experience most frequently. They are that I aim to be the best in what I do, my ability to achieve goals taking many years, and the ability to overcome setbacks. The reason I experience these three most frequently is that they are all interdependent. For example, in order to be best in what I do, I have made it my goal to get into a top three MBA program. This is a goal that I have been working to achieve for over 10 years now—which all of my achievements, promotions, academic and professional awards are a testament to.
