From the earliest recorded history, mankind have been obliged to work for his survival. To survive, mankind has made a myriad of sacrifices to be able to support themselves and their families. Many people with dangerous jobs make the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. For those with an adventurous spirit who do not want to be confided to a conventional work environment, the following dangerous vocations can offer a challenge: logging, bull riding, and storm chasers. “Logger is one that gets the timber to the landing and sends it to the mill” (Jones 328). “Theres a certain amount of pride in the woods for timber cutters. The stronger the wind, the more smells. There is just so much mixing going in the air, because the winds are so violent in every direction. It’s really unique” (Jones 137). “The biggest hazard of my profession is hydroplaining” (Jones 145).What a storm chaser does is trying to get the best shot of the storm, and staying alive while trying to video. If the storm chasers was chasing a tornado, they would be looking for a swirling mass of air that could possibly reach speeds up to 300 mph. “Storm chasers always have an escape route to the south when we’re chasing tornados” (Jones 145). The chasers have wrote records of when tornados happen; it takes place usually late evening or during the night (Grabianowski, Ed. 2). When the chasers record a tornado, they have seen people being picked up and hurling in the air, crushing people under debris, and impaling them with objects flung through the air with large force (Grabianowski, Ed. 2). “There was something about how nobody has control over the weather and how wind can be so destructive” (Jones
