Journal #5 I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and I am on page 376. This book is about a girl named Scout who lives with brother Jem, aunt Alexandra, and father Atticus. The kids have learned a lot from the experiences with people in the town like Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. When Tom died it affects the whole town for a little bit. When the kids were attacked by Bob Ewell, but Boo Radley came to save them.
Jean Louise Finch, commonly known as Scout, is the young and feisty narrator in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Scout is the youngest Finch of her family. She lives in a small town called Maycomb County with her brave brother Jem Finch, her intelligent father Atticus Finch, and Calpurnia who is the caretaker and housekeeper for Scout’s family. In Maycomb Scout also shares a best friend with her brother, his name is Dill. He comes to visit Maycomb every summer from Mississippi and stays with his aunt Rachel.

I am reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and I am on page 207. So far in this novel Scout has learned plenty of new things about her father, Atticus. After Atticus shoots the mad-dog in one shot, Scout realizes there is more to Atticus than what she originally thought. Jem has also gotten angry at Mrs. Dubose because she makes a comment about Atticus. When Atticus finds out that Jem chopped off her camellias, he receives a punishment of having to go and read to Mrs. Dubose for a month.
