The reader know that they jury was influenced by prejudice when they made their decision. There’s two reason why the jury was influenced by prejudice their decisions. The first reason I know the jury was influenced by prejudice was Bob Ewell. When Atticus grabs paper and pen out of his coat, he gave it to Ewell. Ewell begin to write his name with his left handed on the paper, Atticus and Judge Taylor looking at him intently. He said, “Well, what’s so interestin’” (Foote 58). Judge Taylor said, “You’re left handed, Mr. Ewell.” Ewell became angrily to the judge. He said, “Well, what’s that got to do with it, Judge? I’m a God-fearin’ man. That Atticus Finch is tryin’ to take advantage of me. You got to watch the lawyers like Atticus Finch” (Foote 58). The Judge bang his gavel and told Bob Ewell to be quiet and sended him to his seat. The jurors are white. They didn’t like Tom Robinson. The reason is that Tom Robinson felted bad to Mayella Ewell. When Mr.Gilmer asked him, “With Mr. Ewell and seven children on the place? You did all this choppin’ and work out of sheer goodness, boy? You’re a mighty good fella, it seems. Did all that for not one penny” (Foote 65). Tom Robinson replied and said, Yes, Sir.
