There are a lot of different lessons to learn from To kill A mockingbird One of the biggest lessons you can learn from To kill a mockingbird is that people are so cruel to others based on how they look and sometimes their religion. In to kill a mockingbird Harper Lee expresses how people would mistreat others just because they were different in various ways. Harper lee uses Tom Robinson’s case, the men going to the jail, and Tom’s death.

One way this lesson is represented through to kill a mockingbird is when Tom Robinson is charged with Rape. This represents this lessons because there is no real evidence against Tom Robinson to be able to charge him for rape. This represents this lesson because it showed how many people were going after Tom Robinson and a lot of the people that showed up at the jail weren’t even particularly related to the case. The big thing about his death is he was shot 17 time but he had no chance of escaping or hurting the guards because of his crippled arm. Lee expresses this when Atticus says “oh yes, the guards called him to stop. They fired a few shots in the air, then to kill. They said if he'd had two good arms he’d have made it, he was moving that fast. Seventeen bullet holes in him.”(315).
