To Kill A Mockingbird is not only about mockingbirds, but about how you shouldn’t kill it. Atticus say “it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird” because they are nice and kind creatures that sing a song that comes from their hearts. Mockingbirds are always expressed with a true heart. In the novel, there are 3 characters that can be identified as mockingbirds; Scout, Atticus, and Arthur “Boo” Radley. Jean Louise Finch also known as Scout, is the protagonist of the novel and is also told from her point of view. She’s a tomboy and starts as 6 years old at the beginning of the book and ends until she’s 9 years old. She learns a lot about her neighbors, society, and learns about herself.
