The main character of this book is Sam Carrier and Sam has inherited Tourette's Syndrome from his dad Jack. Tourette’s syndrome is a tic disorder which caused him to twitch often he came down with this syndrome around the age of 5 before he came down with this Sam and his step dad [Bill] were very close but once sam was diagnosed with tourette's syndrome Bill disowned Sam and started beating on sam. sam's mom [Lydia] and Bill have always told sam that his dad left him because he was ashamed of his son. Then Sam meets George, George informs Sam that his real name is Jack Keegan and his step dad changed it because Sam’s or Jack's dad also had tourette’s disease and Bill thought it was a shameful name in Sam’s free time he likes to go for runs and one night while he decided to take a run and he ran into a young girl [Niomi] then George offers jack a job. Jack takes it because it includes a different place to live rather than at Bills. Jack grows close with George then George passes away and left Jack all his money along with a map of a road trip along this Jack soon realizes that if he goes on this road trip he will find out what really happened to his dad.
