Fuel Cells Is a renewable type of energy because it can be produced by hydrogen and oxygen and it is environmentally friendly. A fuel cell is a energy device that produces electricity. For this to happen hydrogen combine with oxygen in the air converting it to water while producing electricity. It is like battery but battery runs down fuel cells do not and they don't have to be charged. It recharges itself when you draw power.
Explain whether the energy source is renewable or non-renewable and what advantages/disadvantages this has for the environment.
Fuel cells energy is a renewable energy source. Its effects on the environment are less than fossil fuels which are not renewable and damage, pollute our environment. Fuel cells are a renewable energy because
Fuel cells are really good for the environment because fuel cells have way more efficiency than any normal diesel or gas engines

Is this alternative energy source available in Australia? If so, provide specific examples and explain how households access it.
The truth is if you drive an electric car it is fuelled by fossil fuel generated electricity, which will run out pretty soon. Maybe outside that is an idea but it is not a solution.
The Japan,US and europe are already able to drive long distances with hydrogen fuel cells and australia has a lot of catching up to do.
One of Australia’s largest brand Toyota, has tested the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle mirai. It was the world’s first mass production vehicle to use the fuel cell technology. It mixes hydrogen with air to generate electricity and water.
Compare your energy source with at least two alternative energy sources.
