To what extent does possessing knowledge grants us privilege and advantages?
Knowledge gives us the basic on how we behave and think. It shapes who we are because we act upon what we know. The more we know the more things we took into consideration before acting or reacting to something. It gives us the privilege to pick how to act accordingly in a social group.

Knowledge is something that can be either beneficial or disadvantageous. Privilege is a special right given or gained by a certain group of people. Different groups of people are usually granted different kinds of privilege. People with more knowledge are usually more respected because they act more thoughtfully and consider the possible outcomes of their actions. Privileges are granted because others respects or fears the individual and are willing to allow them to have special rights.

Ignorance is the opposite of knowledge. People who are ignorant do not care to gain knowledge due to their personal reasons. Many believed that knowing too much can induce stress. It is true to an extent. When we know a lot of things, we think more before doing. Finding the suitable response or action may be harder because we know the downside of each decision.

An example could be when man chooses to be ignorant to the rumors that his significant other is cheating on him. It could be an indication of denial or simply not caring. He may refuse to acknowledge the information because he has no solid prove to confirm it. Avoiding stress and hurt may also be a possibility. If he acknowledges the rumors and confirms it with his partner, there’s a possibility that the rumors are true. So, he prefers to be ignorant and happy rather than well informed and
