Should schools have new healthy guidelines for meals? Well recently kids have been debating on whether or not school lunch meals should be allowed. Well, by seeing my resources I have concluded that new healthy guidelines for meals should be allowed in schools. Recently I have read that from 1974, the proportion of kids 5 to 17 years of age who are obese was 5 times higher in 2008 and 2009. This means that there are more kids that have been diagnosed with obesity. This is not healthy, many of these kids have been diagnosed with obesity because of their food lifestyle. If we come to think about it having new healthy guidelines for meals is a good idea for schools. Eating healthier will prevent many diseases and illnesses. It will teach kids to live a healthier lifestyle. It can also benefit kids by helping them stay fit and give them energy and power for other extra-curricular activities like sports. New healthy guidelines are very important in our society, eating healthier will prevent many diseases or illnesses. Many young children these day are suffering from various health consequences such as type 2 Diabetes, poor self-esteem, eating disorders, depression, asthma and various other health issues. If we think about it living a healthier lifestyle can benefit kids by giving them more power and more energy. Kids tend to play a lot of sports and participate in a lot of games, well, not eating the right meals or the right amount of a meal can effect a child’s energy or power.
